The first vineyards were planted by Major General Palmer in 1822. In 2003 Château Boston was bought by Vincent and Natacha Ginestet who restored the entire estate. Conscious of this unique and valuable terroir they restructured the vineyard and rebuilt the cellars. The soil has an excellent permeability with over 70% of gravel which is eight meters deep, ideal conditions for the vine roots to grow perfectly. The terroir is so qualitative that 3rd Cru Classé Rauzan-Ségla acquired three hectares of it in 2010 to improve its top wine!
Tasting Notes: A very well balanced, medium bodied red wine with gentle tanins a surprising acidity keeping the wine fresh and tight. Some notes of plum, a hint of mint and marjoram.
