Technical Info

Region : Loire

Appellation : Vouvray

Vintage : 2015

Varietal : Chenin Blanc

Estate : Damien Pinon's Tuffo is at the dry end of the spectrum with lots of perfume and fruit character but very little residual sugar. Winemaker Céline Orion uses organic vines aged 25 to 30 years that grow in local limestone soil (tuffeau) which lends minerality - and a place for Pinon's caves. The family dug directly into the limestone to build their cellars. All Pinon Vouvray is made with indigenous yeasts.

 Tasting Notes :

Medium-bodied, dry. A powerfully fragrant nose with apple and pear followed by a mineral-driven palate of acids and dense fruit. Finishes with quince and stone fruit notes. Pair with chicken, fish, and veal.
