Château La Liquière, located near Cabrerolles in the Hérault department, covers 60 hectares of Faugères AOC classified vineyards. Situated in the North-Western area of the appellation, the vineyards climb steep slopes between 150 and 350 metres in altitude. The warm Mediterranean climate is freshened with two alternating winds, the 'Tramontane' and the 'Marin'. The Château, owned by the Vidal-Dumoulin family for the last 3 generations, is located on a schistous terroir. These soils have ancient geological origins and are derived from the compression of clay during the formation of the Massif Central resulting from primary era sea bed deposits.
Young vineyards giving a light and fun red blend. At the nose we are charmed by a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a frank nose of red fruits. The mouth is pleasant, aerial yet some gentle tanins that helps to balance the wine. The 8 months in old Barrels gives it a very nice smooth, round texture.
