This exciting 9-hectare domaine is situated adjacent to the great Domaine Gauby in the village of Calce in the Roussillon region of the Languedoc. Olivier Pithon is orginally from a wine making family from Anjou in the Loire and after spending some time in Bordeaux decided to settle in Calce in 2000 after being introduced to Gerard Gauby by his brother, Jo, a wine maker from Layon. The vines are grown strictly according to biodynamic principles and they are superb – elegant, complex reds; delicate, floral whites.

Olivier Pithon has been involved with wine from a very early age. His Grandfather was a vine grower in Anjou and when Olivier was four, his big brother, the famed Jo Pithon, settled on the hillsides of Layon. Olivier settled down in the village of Calce, where he met with Gerard Gauby. His goal is to make the wine as good as possible by getting as much out of the soil as he can, whilst respecting the environment

Tasting Notes: Apples, honeysuckle and sea breeze whilst on the palate notes of and fennel, olive and dried fruit. This is a wine of amazing purity and energy.
