Domaine Burle - Gigondas - Les Pallieroudas - 2014
is currently backordered. You may still purchase it now but we won't be able to ship it until it becomes available again.
Varieties: 80% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre
Estate: Based in Gigondas, Damien and Florent Burle produce dense and full-bodied wines, in the appellations Gigondas and Vacqueyras.
"Born" with winemaker instinct, they learned everything from their dad, a man of character who loved massive and powerful wines and made famous by Robert Parker.
Florent and his brother Damien inherited the family estate from their father in 1994 and perpetuate the family legacy by keeping the values of authenticity while adding finesse and diversity.
Tasting Notes: A transparent ruby color in the glass, the wine casts warm, inviting aromas of Provençal cherries, cinnamon, bay leaf and untanned leather.
Fresh and vibrant cherry and black raspberry fruit greets the palate alongside hints of sweet cinnamon, herbal garrigue, crimini mushrooms, olives and tar.
Fine, savory tannins sneak in and help segue the wine to its long, palate-tingling finish featuring reprises of the wine’s saturated core of red stone fruits, tobacco and garrigue.
