Bertrand Machard de Gramont - Nuits-Saint-Georges - Les Hauts Pruliers - 2011
is currently backordered. You may still purchase it now but we won't be able to ship it until it becomes available again.
Variety: Pinot Noir
Estate: Bertrand Machard de Gramont created the estate in 1983 after having worked for many years for the family domain.
In 2001, the surface covered 6ha thanks to the spectacular replanting on terraces of the "Vallerots" climate, on virgin soil, partly abandoned since Phylloxera.
En 2004, Bertrand was joined by his daughter Axelle.
Tasting Notes: Planted in 1965, on a steep slope with meagre soil, above the Pruliers Premier Cru. This vine produces a deep, well structured and complex wine, typical of its terroir.
Wild and complex aromas, a melange of warm summer fruit over a faint background of crème-brûlée.
In the mouth this is silky and intense of fresh cherries, lovely texture with a hint of licorice.
